How can I help?
I was recently made the Environmental Art Director for Artists of America where we are setting up mural programs with environmental themes and working with troubled youth and kids at risk. We will start a pilot program in Clovis, New Mexico with the hopes that this spreads across our country as well as the rest of the planet. The program is Called "Windows on the World"
I am currently working on a suite of paintings for Greenpeace to help raise money to stop Global whaling. In addition I have donated an original painting titled " Save Our Reefs " to Reefcheck.org whom work worldwide to restore and save the worlds reefs.
For me everyday is Earthday.
I am currently working with the Foundation for America Cultural Exchanges to present an Original painting to the Prime Minister of China as a gift to the PeoplesMuseuminBeijing. Our delegation hopes to discus the setting up of environmental art programs in high schools and universities to help raise awareness in their country. In 2007 I was invited by the foundation to teach a course at the Jilin Art and Animation College. After teaching and lecturing, I was given an honorary degree and made a professor of the college. I have been invited to several universities in Chinato teach and lecture.
Here are two of my most recent paintings and they both reflect Earthday.

His painting will be featured in the Artists for Reefs e-Gallery as a one-of-a-kind, limited edition piece. “Since I can remember, I have been in love with the ocean,” Apollo recalls. “My work expresses my reverence for the beauty of the fragile environment that supports the world’s reefs and its inhabitants.”
Apollo’s art has been appreciated by collectors across the United States and around the world. His artwork has appeared in books, magazines, television shows, murals and on numerous products worldwide. Smiling, he continued, “My wife’s favorite beach towel has one of his underwater scenes (on it). The college proudly displays his beautiful work and we look forward to when he returns to paint a mural on our National Aquarium.”

“I am very pleased to join the Artists for Reefs e-Gallery and to have the opportunity to increase public awareness of the magnificent beauty of Earth's most endangered and most diverse ecosystem, the coral reefs."
